Our Impact and Reporting

The Public Fundraising Regulatory Association (PFRA) plays a central role in strengthening public trust in fundraising through sector-led self-regulation. We monitor, support, and hold members accountable by setting clear standards, accrediting organisations, training fundraisers on the Code of Conduct, and working closely with charities, agencies, councils, and other stakeholders.

We also advocate on behalf of the sector with government, councils, and regulators to help ensure fundraising remains fair, effective, and sustainable.

Each year, we collect and publish industry figures that show the collective impact of face-to-face fundraising in Aotearoa New Zealand. Alongside these figures, we share our Annual Report and insights from charities working on the ground. Together, these provide transparency and a clear picture of how strong self-regulation supports ethical fundraising, protects the public, and enables charities to deliver meaningful impact for the causes people care about most.
